



I’ve long held a profound admiration for the remarkable skill required to carve a three-dimensional representation of the human body, or indeed any object, from a solid block of marble. The meticulous planning, the visionary ability to foresee the subject within the stone, and, of course, the sheer execution of the work are all truly commendable.
This piece represents my interpretation of a small section of Michelangelo’s iconic sculpture of Moses. It’s the second of Michelangelo’s sculptures that has deeply moved me, compelling me to attempt my own version.
